2006 NAB AFL Draft Pick No. 43
2008 AFL debut
Originally from Harrow-Balmoral via North Ballarat U18s, Tim is a hard running defender who has an outstanding athletics background. An AIS/AFL graduate who represented Vic Country U18 in 2006, Tim highlighted his aerobic ability at the NAB AFL Draft Camp with the fastest time over 3km (9.37min) combined with a beep test score of 15.4.
Tim used 2007 as a development year with WAFL side East Fremantle where he won the Best First Year Player Award, playing mainly on a wing or off half-back.
2008 proved a breakthrough year for the athletic youngster, who racked up 20 possessions in his AFL debut against Adelaide in round nine and played eight straight games, before returning to the WAFL.
Following his debutant season, Tim played a total of 7 games during the 2009 season and earned his first best on ground of the season against Port Adelaide in round 16, with only Andrew Embley and Matt Priddis having more contested football than him.
After missing the 2010 season due to a horrific foot injury sustained over the 2009/2010 Christmas break, Tim was named at pick number 10 of the 2010 Rookie Draft and looks forward to making an impact for the 2011 season.
The Eagles will be looking to mould this young man into a brilliant defender and will no doubt be a senior regular during the season.
