Clancee uses the ball well and is a quick mover who rarely gets beaten in a constest. Named All-Australian after his fantastic Under-18 National Carnival, where he was also named Most Valuable Player for WA, Clancee thoroughly deserved his position as captain of the Colts Team of the Year. Originally from the Swan Districts, Clancee also played League footy for Swan Districts.

Pearce debuted against Port Adelaide in round 11 of the 2009 season and backed up against Geelong a week later before injuring a hamstring. He impressed in both matches and earned a recall after a best-on-ground performance for Swan Districts the following week.

Solidly built, Clancee is likely to make a large impact for the Dockers success over the next few years.
