Kangaroos
Honours:
2007 Rookie Draft, Pick No. 30
2009 Promoted Rookie
2009 AFL Debut

An exciting small midfielder with excellent pace and goal sense, Garlett is clever and hard at the ball. He had a taste of senior WAFL football with Perth in 2007 and also played in Western Australia's victorious side in the 2007 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.

Garlett was rookie listed by the Kangaroos in 2008 and was part of North Ballarat's premiership winning side at VFL level, impressing in the Grand Final.

A strong pre-season prompted a call up for the young gun in NAB Cup against Carlton and only an injury stopped Garlett from a promotion to the senior list for the first half of the year. The number 32 made his return in the VFL and quickly caught the attention of North Melbourne selectors with some dominant performances through the midfield for the Roosters.

It wasn't long before Garlett was awarded with a promotion to the senior list and in Round 12 of the 2009 AFL Season, Garlett made his debut against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium. After an impressive debut, Cruize went on to play five games for the season and played an important role in the Kangaroos' wins against St Kilda and Port Adelaide.
