Originally from Aususta, WA and Recruited from East Perth, Ben is a resourceful and rebounding defender. He has also been impressive with his one on one contests, overhead skills and speed in the 2009 WAFL. A great addition to an accomplished Hawthorn backline, Ben possesses great pace and endurance which was reflected at his WA screening achieving 8.34sec in his agility test. A clean mark and superbly accurate kick, Ben is no slouch at ground level but rather can pickup the ball extremely well on the run.
