2010 NAB AFL Draft Pick No. 37
George has been a surprise packet throughout season 2010. After captaining Australia at Cricket at under 16 level, it has only been recently that he has turned his attention to football. Coming from Sturt in South Australia, George will be looking to impose himself in the football circles. George loves winning contested footy. One of his biggest assets is his awareness in the contest.
He boasts an exceptionally clean set of hands and mixed in with creative ability and great vision, it is clear to see why he was one of the biggest bolters in the 2010 National Draft. Suffering from a shoulder injury on the eve of the 2011 season meant that George didn't return until the middle of the VFL season, where he played the last nine games.
George received 3 opportunities at senior level in 2012. He also however had an outstanding season in the VFL capped off by winning the Norm Goss Medal for best on ground in a premiership side. He tallied 24 disposals and was a vital part for their premiership success.
George will have a monster pre season both aerobically and in the gym, to prepare his light frame for a season that hopefully sees him play more games in the senior side.
