Stephen burst on to the scene at an early age after kicking 4 goals for Swan Districts Grand Final side in late 2010 as a 16 year-old. In 2011 he went on to captain Western Australia at the NAB AFL U18 Championships, averaging 22.4 disposals, 10.4 contested possessions and four tackles. Not only did Stephen win the Best and Fairest for WA, he went on to take out the Larke medal for the best player in Division 1 and was also selected in the 2011 All-Australian side.

Coniglio’s endurance and pace sees him breaking away from contests, his foot skills ensure he is accurately delivering targets further up the field and his ability to push up the ground and play as a forward creates opportunities.

Stephen enjoyed his 2012 season playing 12 senior games and making an immediate impact from his debut game in round 1. His class and poise under pressure was a delight to watch as he notched up 22 disposals a game and went head to head with some of the elite midfielders of the competition.

Coniglio's impressive leadership qualities both on and off the field put him in good stead to lead the young side in the years to come.
